Eastcastle Place Receives Multiple National Accolades

Eastcastle Place is a historic 140-year-old senior living community located on the east side of Milwaukee. AG has supported the evolution of this campus since 1988. The recent multi-phased renovation and repositioning exemplifies the power of a collaborative strategic and master planning effort to leverage legacy and position a historic campus for continued success in the 21st Century. AG worked with LCS Development, CG Schmidt and RDG Planning & Design to reinvigorate the campus to remain competitive in the market.

The project was highlighted in an article, called Fresh take, in EFA Magazine and honored with third-place recognition in the Renovation/Repositioning (Campus) category of the Senior Housing News Architecture and Design Awards. In addition, the renovation of a library and club room into a pub, called 1884, was honored as a Finalist in the EFA Remodel/Renovation awards program.

AG has been working with Nelson Construction & Development and key project partners to enhance the assisted living and memory care experience. EFA Magazine showcased photo tours of two of the completed communities.

Thanks to the AG Judges!
Last but not least, we want to give a special shout-out to our acknowledged multi-family and senior living experts. We are proud to have Justin Koeppler and John Cronin representing the AG Team as judges in two national awards programs.

Justin supported the Multi-Housing News 17th annual Excellence Awards program. The program awarded 87 awards in 34 different categories. He appreciated this professional growth opportunity. “I found the discourse between the judges insightful and enjoyed learning from their different perspectives as we judged the multitude of great submissions.”

With over 34 years in senior living design, John continues to serve as a respected judge for the Senior Housing News Architecture and Design Awards. The 2023 program included close to 100 entries showcasing innovative senior living architecture and design across the continuum of care.
