CHALLENGE:
The AG team was called upon to create a phased mixed use complex on the narrow site of a former lumber yard adjacent to an active railroad track.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Phase I introduced 16-apartments, 30-enclosed parking stalls, and a 10,500-square-foot retail component. It was wrapped in a sensitively detailed skin to match the feel of the surrounding trackside structures.
  • Phase II continues the architectural style and added 31 apartments as well as additional enclosed public parking to accommodate the phase I retail.
  • This project helped ignite further development, reenergizing this quaint historic area and serving as a charming alternative to the characterless retail strip centers that dominate most suburbs.
