Each year, organizations and publications in the architecture, construction, real estate and senior living industries sponsor awards programs to highlight notable design projects. These programs recognize projects making a difference locally and nationally—projects raising the bar for the built environment and improving the lives of the people they serve. The jury for each competition evaluates a project on multiple criteria, including innovation, experience, aesthetics, overcoming challenges, community integration, amenities, operations and well-being.

Plymouth Place

The work at Plymouth Place is being recognized not only for the beautiful results but more importantly, for the commitment and collaboration maintained throughout the entire process. Plymouth Place’s investment in the process, from the market study and strategic planning to the collaborative master plan, focus groups and charrette, shines through with each jury. It is clear how the engagement informed the final product and translates to market success. For example, jury members for the EFA Design Showcase applauded the master planning and phasing of the project, the incorporation of wellness components, the rooftop garden, the density and scale of the villas, and the beautiful and spacious units.

Duet Apartments

Duet Apartments introduces a luxury multifamily option in the heart of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. The studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments provide area residents with a variety of convenient and upscale housing options with desirable floor plans and modern finishes. Residents enjoy access to several lifestyle-focused amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, an inviting clubroom and space to support workday needs. This project completes the first phase of the development with a companion building planned to continue expanding the housing options for this thriving community.

The Broadacre

Previous development concepts lacked the design and community appeal desired by the City of Oak Creek and area residents. The Broadacre introduces a unique rental option embraced by community leaders and stakeholders with the intentional integration of sustainable features. The medium-density solution was mindfully planned within the ample acreage with a sense of community as a primary focus. Instead of maximizing a unit count, the design provides housing options appealing to an intergenerational demographic. Activated green space serves as a differentiator, including courtyards between buildings, a three-quarter-mile walking path, dog park, and pond views.
