Architecture has always been a part of Janssen’s life. His father is an architect, and he grew up fascinated by the profession. From playing Legos with his dad to learning all about the art of architecture from him, the father-son bond deepened due to their shared passion. When the family traveled to Disney World, it wasn’t rides that thrilled these two. For this father and son, the magic of the Magic Kingdom was a backstage tour of the architecture and operations.
Janssen developed his drawing skills in drafting classes throughout high school and then headed to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) to follow in his dad’s architectural footsteps. He has lived in the Milwaukee area since 2014 and received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from UWM. He has been gaining practical experience since high school, including positions working side-by-side with his dad.
Throughout these early stages of his career, he has been exposed to numerous project types, working with clients and design teams in all phases of the process, from schematic design through construction administration. He has worked on civic, multifamily, office, mixed use, and residential projects. Janssen looks forward to learning and growing with the AG Team as he explores the intricacies of design for senior living communities and vibrant lifestyle environments.

A dedicated, driven, and detail-oriented project manager, Janssen is ready to give 110% on every task.
“Sam is a hard-working and enthusiastic member of our team who has excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail,” says AG Senior Associate Andy Korb. “He embraces every opportunity to be challenged and expand his knowledge of architecture. It is this passion for architectural detailing, thirst for knowledge, and positive attitude that has made Sam a strong contributor to our projects from day one.”
