Meadow Active Lifestyle Community in Louisville, Kentucky was honored with an Argentum 2018 Senior Living by Design Award. The AG Team is proud to have been a part of this award-winning project and to continue to be recognized nationally for its expertise in senior living architecture.

Argentum is the leading national association exclusively dedicated to supporting companies operating professionally managed, resident-centered senior living communities and the older adults and families they serve. The association’s annual Senior Living by Design awards program honors architects, design firms and senior living providers that achieve innovative architecture in senior living communities.

AG’s Meadow Active Lifestyle Community project with Masonic Communities Kentucky in Louisville was one of five recipients of the 2018 Senior Living by Design awards. While the project does incorporate all of the necessary accessibility and safety requirements and details to support a senior living environment, it explores the power of art to enhance health and well-being. Its unique arts and culture focused design and amenities is what truly enhances lifestyle and daily living. The art display/gallery circulation spine is the heart and soul of the community and visual access to the numerous spaces allow all residents to be inspired.

The comprehensive and unique in-house amenity offering includes: full-service restaurants, private dining, bistro dining, community living rooms, courtyard with outdoor seating and fireplace, library, 70-person movie theater, business/media room, creative arts studio and gallery, fitness and wellness center, beauty salon and spa, and putting green. Whether actively participating in the art studio (complete with pottery wheels and a kiln where resident art is fired), community garden or dance spaces, enjoying movies or attending lectures, residents can continue to pursue their passions or tackle a new hobby. All of these spaces and activities enhance socialization. Residents teach other in the art studio, and chefs interact with diners, adding culinary arts to the long list of interesting topics that residents have the opportunity to explore. This extensive offering is about being social and staying creative, active and connected to each other and with the greater Louisville community.

Meadow Active Lifestyle Community was recognized for putting art at the heart of the design and enhancing resident lifestyle across campus while creating a deeper connection with the greater Louisville community.
