When it comes to AG’s commitment to Bright Vision. Bold Communities. there are team members responsible for your first and lasting impressions and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Some you may know by name, and others you may have never met. AG’s Marketing/Admin Team is a group of dedicated professionals and AG brand ambassadors, ensuring a high level of customer service and a positive work environment.
According to AG Director of Business Development Katie Miller, “If AG were a tree, I see the marketing and administrative team as the trunk. Our work provides the structural support necessary for the architectural, engineering, and design branches to do their work effectively and efficiently.”
From business development, marketing, finance, and human resources to technology and office life, this team is responsible for the business operations that keep AG running smoothly.
“The AG Marketing/Admin team is the foundation of the AG family,” says AG Chief Operating Officer Mike Miller. “The metaphor is obvious in our world of architecture, but our success truly relies on the solid support they provide every team member, day in and day out. While these team members are often working under the radar, we can’t uphold our high level of service without their hard work and dedication. We don’t always say it enough, but your efforts are recognized and appreciated.”
Business Development & Marketing
While many of these team members are working behind the scenes, you most likely have been in contact with Director of Business Development Katie Miller or Marketing Coordinator Marcia Zalenski. In many cases, they may be the first AG voices you hear or faces you meet.
Miller and Zalenski are knowledgeable, flexible, detail-oriented, and service-focused. They are go-to team members always ready to pivot to return a call, coordinate an RFP response, or plan a client event. From the quarterly eNews, website, postcard campaigns, and coffee meetings to trade show details, award and presentation submissions, photo shoot coordination, and more, they keep AG in the public eye and top of mind. Available and resourceful, they are collaborative team players and all-star AG brand ambassadors.
“We are a small but mighty group dedicated to doing whatever is needed to support AG’s success—and the success of our teams and clients. While most of the work we do is behind the scenes, it is critical to maintaining the culture and quality that make AG extraordinary. I’m most impressed by our team’s flexibility. Our focus can be divided between multiple priorities on any given day. We’re good at pivoting to maximize opportunities, meet team needs, and support client success.”
“I like to think of us as helping to keep the internal ship running while the majority of our colleagues are managing all of the client/contractor concerns, keeping the external ship running. We all contribute to a variety of areas throughout the firm, which requires us to have a pretty wide knowledge base. We are always looking for ways to improve our processes and implement tools that will streamline tasks in the best interest of the firm’s success.”
“Our business development and marketing team plays a key role in how clients experience AG—from that first introduction to the lasting impression we leave behind,” says AG Chief Design Officer Eric Harrmann. “They communicate our vision with clarity and consistency, making sure every proposal, conversation, and touchpoint reflects AG’s voice and who we are as a firm.”
Finance & Human Resources
Hard-working, dependable, and dedicated–what more can you ask for from your accounting and HR professional? If you add consistency to that list, then you have Director of Finance & Administration Cindy Lofy. She is proud to be behind the scenes, keeping the business operations of AG running smoothly, which she has been doing for 41 years. The AG brand is deeply ingrained in Lofy, and she maintains the firm’s reputation with her interactions with clients and key business partners.
“We are a very efficient and hard-working team committed to the success of AG. Accuracy and timeliness drive our daily tasks and to-do lists. We are always looking for new ways to provide support, information, and tools to push the company forward with our clients’ best interests top of mind. We strive to exceed client expectations.”
Technology
It is no surprise that technology plays a critical role in the success of an architectural firm. At AG, part of leveraging technology is maintaining and evolving the firmwide standards that reinforce the team’s reputation for bringing certainty and predictability to the construction process. Long-time team member Scott Moseler understands AG’s detailed design process and high standards for construction documentation. As BIM Manager, he monitors drawing standards, manages software updates, and is the go-to resource for questions on Revit, office standards, codes, detailing, etc.
“We work hard behind the scenes without much fanfare, but our strong attention to detail helps everyone in the office be more efficient and effective.”
Culture
There is a comfort and camaraderie deeply embedded in the AG corporate culture—an approachable vibe that fuels the firm’s commitment to Bright Vision. Bold Communities. While there is a long history of caring leadership that has nurtured the sense of community within the company, there are also perks that keep people smiling and nourished every day. And there has always been a special position on the team, a person handling all of the little things that make a big difference in overall work satisfaction. Kathy Chenault runs errands, assists team members, archives paperwork, and is the team lead of snack prep. From Breadsmith Tuesdays to popcorn and cookie Wednesdays, full bellies support a happy and productive AG Team.

“Behind the scenes, our administrative and operations team keeps AG aligned with our vision and grounded in excellence,” describes Harrmann. “From supporting our people and managing resources to setting BIM standards—and even keeping us fueled with daily snacks—they bring structure, care, and consistency to everything we do.”
