As 2024 came to a close, the AG Team suffered a devastating loss. Long-time team member and cherished friend Bill Boehler passed on December 14, 2024. Over his career, Bill spent 29 years with AG Architecture, from project manager to Team Lead, to the role of keeping a keen eye on construction documentation quality control. He was involved with several AG award-winning projects and notable clients, such as The Terraces of Boise, Waterman Village, and Masonic Homes Kentucky.

While he poured his heart and soul into his work, he was a proud and dedicated family man. He was a number one fan at events for both his children and grandchildren and loved spending time at the family cabin. Bill also relished time outdoors hunting, hiking and fishing as well as escaping day-to-day life activities by golfing or skiing.

For those who worked with Bill, he was more than a co-worker, Team Lead or project contact. He was a mentor, for some a father figure, and most of all a beloved friend. The words of a few provide the thoughts and experiences of the many people who were lucky enough to meet and know Bill.

Tracey Schnick

“Bill and his knowledge of the construction industry was an invaluable asset to AG. He was a great teacher, always had time to help everyone, and did so with kindness and patience. Bill will be sorely missed.”

Andy Korb

Bill loved being an architect. His attention to detail and knowledge of the construction industry was a benefit not only to me but to everyone at AG Architecture. I could always go to Bill and talk through a product or detail, and he always seemed to have a good solution. I learned so much from him over the years due to his relentless research into how buildings go together. Not only was Bill very good at his job, but he was one of the most kind and patient people I have ever known. I am grateful to have been able to work with him and to have had the comfort of knowing that throughout the stresses of any given day, he was always there and willing to listen and offer his wisdom and understanding. I miss him so very much.

Ann D’Acquisto

“Bill was my mentor for 26+ years, and I wouldn’t know half of what I know without his help. He was not just a co-worker but a great friend. He was my go-to guy and always had the patience and kindness to help me figure things out. He would listen and always try to help with work—or any life challenges. He loved being an architect and friend, but his greatest joy was his family. I miss you, my friend.”

Casey Adams | Principal of Adams Advisory Services

“Upon meeting Bill in May 2012, I knew working with him would be a rewarding experience. I was brand new to senior living, construction, and project management, but that didn’t seem to matter to Bill. He was incredibly patient and understanding about the myriad questions I would have over the next 12 and a half years. Bill always took the time to answer an email, pick up the phone, or stay after the meeting to walk me through the “why” and the “how”. Bill was such an outstanding teacher. More importantly, Bill was an even better person. He was thoughtful, gracious, and respectful. He was the consummate professional. I know he was beloved by so many because I saw first-hand how he treated everyone. I will never forget him, nor will I forget the impact he had on both my professional and personal life. I will miss you, Bill.”

Stephanie Trokan

“Bill became my mentor and team lead shortly after I graduated and started working at AG. Almost everything I know about how a building goes together is thanks to him. He was my go-to person for any question and always found the time to teach me whatever I wanted to know. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have been able to work with and learn from him and will forever be thankful for his kindness and patience.”

“It’s painful to lose a co-worker, it’s even harder to lose a friend. Bill was both of those. He was one of the kindest and calmest people I’ve met, but what I’ll remember most about him was his patience. He took everything in stride and patiently worked out every problem that was thrown his way. He taught me the importance of taking time to help those around me. He always made time for anyone who had a question or needed his knowledge. I’ll miss working with him and hearing all the stories about his family. His kids and his grandkids meant the world to him. Mostly, I’ll just miss him.”

Amber Bahr

“Bill was just the best. He was my go-to guy for code, construction, or any sort of architectural questions. He was kind, patient and explained everything so well and with such great detail. Bill was a great teacher, mentor, team leader, and my “work dad,” too. During a work trip I had to Kansas City, Bill was my guardian angel as he helped me avoid tornados and arrive safely at my hotel. He was the friendly voice who answered the office phone after hours because he typically stayed late. He researched the weather, directed me, and stayed on the phone with me the whole time to make sure I was okay. I will miss his guidance as well as sharing stories about kids, grandkids, and trips to Colorado.”

Mike Miller

“A great friend and mentor to many, and methodical attention to detail can only begin to define Bill. He leaves his fingerprints on our hearts and many projects in our world of architecture. With great reason, Bill was extremely proud of his family. He shared his kind and caring nature with everyone in his path personally, professionally, and in his everyday life. His personality and friendship will be greatly missed. To Bill, we wish you peace and comfort and salute your job well done!”

Thank you, Bill, for being a model of kindness. Thank you for your mentorship and being a good human—truly one of the good ones. We know you will be keeping a close eye on all of us and continue to help point us in the right direction.

Thank you to the Boehler Family for providing this beautiful photo.
