AG has been expanding quietly behind the scenes the past few years. We want to take this opportunity to officially introduce Chad Krueger and Mitch Lampe.
New hire Chad Krueger
Chad Krueger

As a drafter, Chad plays a key role in maintaining AG’s reputation for exceptional construction documents and bringing certainty and predictability to the construction process. He believes in the power of collaboration and maintaining constant communication with internal and external team members to properly document projects. Chad is also currently in charge of organizing AG’s Lunch & Learn program to help the team stay informed and maintain continuing education requirements.

According to AG Senior Associate Dave Trinkner, “Chad’s friendly and easygoing personality allowed him to quickly find his place within The AG Team. He is always open to new challenges and immediately jumped at the opportunity to become the next “Lunch and Learn” organizer. His quick jokes and funny observations add a little humor to these regular office invites and emails.”

Outside of the office you may find Chad combining his exceptional sketching skills with a little writing. He has a couple graphic novel concepts he is contemplating. One idea is heavily influenced by his love of Star Wars.

Imagine you are a renowned space explorer with everything going for you—promising career, wonderful family, etc. etc. You are put into a state of sleep as you set off into the far reaches of the galaxy. When you wake up everything has changed. You are lost in space—everything you once knew is gone. You must start over and try to survive.

Intrigued? You will have to ask Chad about his progress on the story…and try to get a few secret plot twists out of him.

New Employee Chad Krueger
Mitch Lampe AG's new design team member
Mitch Lampe

Mitch is a driven emerging architectural professional who is a valuable addition to AG’s Design Team. He has gained experience at both architecture and environmental planning firms and is well versed and passionate about climate change and sustainability.

“We are delighted to have Mitch on the AG Design Team,” says AG Senior Associate Andrew Alden. “His midwestern background and experience with multifamily projects is an asset to the design process. Collaboration is second nature to Mitch and his design, rendering and visualization skills are superb. He will be adding creative insights and making valuable contributions to our multifamily and senior living projects.”

Something interesting to know about Mitch is that he designed and created a patent-pending product called HiKara. His boards are a one-of-a-kind evolution of modern Shou Sugi Ban. This product showcases his love of design and sustainability.

Shou Sugi Ban evolves the traditional Japanese process of yakisugi (charring wood) by carbonizing the outside of the wood to create a layer of charring that makes the board water, pest, and rot resistant. Proper yakisugi can increase the lifespan and sustainability of these boards to last over 50 years, using no chemicals or dyes in the process. Mitch’s HiKara process takes this tradition one step further by imprinting the wood with prescribed patterns.

Curious? Ask Mitch about all of the HiKara design possibilities.
