Congratulations to Mike Miller for being honored as a 2019 Newsmaker – Team Leader of the Year by The Daily Reporter.

Mike is a Senior Associate and Team Lead at AG who has served as a respected project manager on our local and national project work since 2008. With over 24 years of industry experience, he is a highly regarded leader who utilizes a strong technical oriented approach to design, document preparation and construction administration. Mike balances the needs of the client and the entire team (AG staff as well as contractors, subcontractors, etc.) while maintaining a big picture perspective. He is team-oriented, goal-focused and tackles any challenge with a positive, can-do attitude. Nothing seems insurmountable with Mike on the job. He will work through the details and lead with a smile on his face.

“Mike has been an exceptional project manager for years, which led us to making him an AG Team Lead,” says Tracey Schnick, COO of AG Architecture. “He is thorough, diligent and highly knowledgeable about how buildings work. Mike knows how to take care of his clients and does so with ease while juggling many projects. We admire his natural leadership abilities and continue to invest in his professional development. We know he will play a key role in the future success of the firm.”

His success as a project manager is evidenced by some of the recent accolades his projects have received: Drexel Ridge and The 2100 were honored as Top Projects by The Daily Reporter and The 2100, a LEED Gold project, received a 2019 Award of Excellence in the Residential Category from the West North Central region of USGBC.

Local developers, such as Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. (and HSI Properties) commend his abilities having worked with him on projects like Drexel Ridge in Oak Creek and Arrabelle in Cedarburg. Senior living developer and for profit provider Capri Senior Communities also feels fortunate to have Mike’s watchful eye on noteworthy projects such as Village Pointe Commons in Grafton and St. Rita Square on the east side of Milwaukee.

“Mike Miller is detail oriented and has a great understanding of design which is a great combination for a project manager,” says Tony DeRosa, vice president of Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. “He is an asset to our team because of his ability to solve problems and hold contractors accountable. Mike plays a key role in the success of our projects.”

“Mike is a true partner in the project process who is diligent in making sure the client’s vision is executed,” says Amy Schoenemann, AIA, director of real estate development for Capri Senior Communities. “He is thorough in his approach and knowledgeable in all aspects of the project. Mike is a consummate professional and extremely responsive to client’s needs. You know you and your project are in good hands when Mike is managing the process.”

When it comes to juggling all of the details, schedules and challenges of managing large-scale projects—and for that matter, managing the details, schedules and challenges of multiple large-scale projects in multiple states at one time—Mike does so with confidence and calmness while maintaining a sense of urgency.

“Mike brings a depth of technical expertise and attention to detail to any project.  His consistency in providing quiet leadership to his teams guarantees a strong partnership and a solution-focused process,” says Matt Burow, CEO/Chairman of Catalyst Construction. “Mike’s exemplary communication skills, combined with an authentic humility and honesty, allow him to connect with clients and professional peers in a way not often witnessed in our industry.”

As you can see, Mike is a well-respected professional—in the high stress construction world, Mike takes it all in stride. He maintains a sense of balance that not many people can achieve, it is one of the many qualities that make him unique—a project manager truly worthy of recognition as a Newsmaker.
