CHALLENGE:
Design a mixed use structure with a combination of retail/restaurant, office, residential and public and private parking on an extremely tight site with a complex topography.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Designed to function as two distinct structures, the building “on the point” presents itself as a classic “apartment over retail” structure.
  • The “rear” building stacks two floors of professional office space over two parking levels, one enclosed and private and the other open and public.
  • With its unique clock tower and sensitively scaled height, form, and detail, this structure is a distinctive landmark for the area adding to the 24/7 vibrancy of the Historic Village District.
  • Lefeber Point is also home to the offices of AG Architecture and AG Engineering.
