The Multi-Housing News 19th annual MHN Excellence Awards program recognizes some of the industry’s most noteworthy developments, business ventures, and professionals. The 2025 panel of judges awarded 101 Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards across 33 categories. AG Architecture proudly announces recognition for two projects: Plymouth Place and The Broadacre Apartments.
“We are incredibly proud of both of these projects. While they serve different market sectors, they each represent AG’s commitment to innovative design, Bright Vision, and Bold Communities,” says AG Director of Business Development Katie Miller. “We extend our congratulations to all who enjoy calling these beautiful communities home.”
GOLD – Best Development & Design: Senior Housing
Plymouth Place
The Arboretum Villas were more than just a redevelopment of Plymouth Place’s east campus. The vision for this master-planned development blends traditional elements with innovative housing options. The expansion builds on a thoughtful understanding of the existing residents’ passions and future residents’ desires. With focus groups, intentional design, and market-driven insight, the villas have set a new standard for the lifestyle and expectations of the Plymouth Place community.
SILVER – Best Development & Design: Low-Rise
The Broadacre
The Broadacre introduces a unique rental option embraced by community leaders and stakeholders with the intentional integration of sustainable features. The medium-density solution was mindfully planned within the ample acreage with a sense of community as a primary focus. Instead of maximizing a unit count, the design provides housing options appealing to an intergenerational demographic. Activated green space serves as a differentiator, including courtyards between buildings, a three-quarter-mile walking path, a dog park, and pond views.
Recognized Expertise
In addition to submitting projects for consideration, AG supports the MHN awards program with industry knowledge and expertise. For the second time, AG Senior Associate Justin Koeppler served as one of the esteemed judges.
While a considerable time commitment to review 99 of the 101 submissions, Koeppler finds great value in the experience. “Reviewing the people and project submissions offers a deeper look into national trends and industry leaders, reinforcing the work we are doing across the country and providing examples of the people and projects pushing the envelope to elevate housing solutions,” says Koeppler.
He notes how the top projects went beyond offering a robust amenity package. “In addition to a focus on sustainable environments, community outreach and integration played a key role in the success of the top projects.” Koepper also highlights categories such as leasing professional of the year, top facilities manager, and rising stars. “Beyond the built environment, the awards program recognizes the people who work in and operate the places we design,” describes Koeppler.
