Exceptional project management is a vital component of AG’s success and part of the firm structure that differentiates AG Architecture from the competition. AG offers a dedicated design team, an engineering team, and two project management teams. Established with the architectural process in mind, this organizational structure supports the firm’s commitment to Bright Vision. Bold Communities. It is how AG provides vision, builds consensus and delivers certainty and predictability. While many firms are divided into specialty studios, every architectural professional on the AG Team has experience designing places where people live. The knowledge and expertise of these professionals and AG’s collaborative team approach benefit clients and are the reason the firm offers a portfolio of award-winning senior living, multifamily and mixed use projects across the country.

In addition to the Korb-Trinkner Team, Senior Associates Ann D’Acquisto and Mike Miller are the Team Leads for the other dynamic AG project management team.

Ann D’Acquisto, AIA

Ann brings over 25 years of experience to her leadership role. From the preparation, coordination and supervision of the production of Schematic, Design Development and Construction Documents to overseeing the Construction Administration process, she shares her expertise and advises the team as they make client visions a reality. Ann provides clients with the support they need to keep projects moving forward, adds energy and ideas to the process, and helps resolve any issues that arise. She strives to achieve a finished product that is better than what the client envisioned and an environment that residents proudly call home. In recognition of her project management and leadership skills, The Daily Reporter named Ann a 2020 Woman in Construction.

Mike Miller, AIA

With over 20 years of experience, Mike utilizes a strong technical-oriented approach to design, document preparation and construction administration. He is an insightful project advocate who represents the client’s perspective in internal project discussions. He also clearly translates design direction to clients, so they understand the functional and operational impact of design decisions. Mike’s ability to balance design sensibility with construction realities ensures that the team can effectively work through challenging details and keep the project moving forward. As a Team Lead, he takes an active role in the ongoing education and career development of his team members. His professional accomplishments were honored by The Daily Reporter as a 2019 Newsmaker Team Leader of the Year.

Dedicated, hard-working, detail-oriented and knowledgeable are just a few of the words used to describe the D’Acquisto-Miller team. Cohesive and collaborative are two of the words that D’Acquisto and Miller feel best describe their team and give them great pride in their efforts. It is how the D’Acquisto-Miller team upholds AG’s commitment to certainty and predictability.

“I am really proud of how we work as a team—a true WE mentality,” describes D’Acquisto. “There is no me, myself and I. We work with a high level of cohesiveness on all projects in the best interest of the client. The team members are dedicated to helping each other. They set goals to make sure project milestones are met and the work is held to a high standard.”

As D’Acquisto and Miller guide their team, AG’s commitment to delivering certainty and predictability is always top of mind. It starts by truly understanding client expectations and then maintaining clear communication throughout the project process to deliver on those expectations.

“As we take a design from concept to construction, we work together as client advocates. Client expectations offer a guidepost for how we operate each day,” describes Miller. “As advocates, we need to provide our clients with an objective lens to their options and decisions at hand. We supply the information and guidance they need to make informed decisions—decisions they feel confident about.”

D’Acquisto and Miller want clients to know they can count on their team to work hard and deliver the best possible product. The benefit of the team structure is consistency. From design to construction, nothing is lost in translation. There is a shared body of knowledge between all the team members from beginning to end. Furthermore, team chemistry inspires creative problem-solving and an all-in attitude—everyone doing what it takes to address challenges.

“It’s important for clients to know that we are an employee-owned company,” says D’Acquisto. “That means each team member has a stake in your project’s success. We are going to ask the important questions, so things get done right. We have high expectations for each other that we work hard to maintain.”

Miller reinforces the importance of communication and working in the best interest of the client. “AG has a reputation for a high level of service. It is part of the firm’s legacy, and we believe clients deserve, and should expect superior service. Communication—with the internal team, entire project team and stakeholders—is key to working in the best interest of a client.”

“We have each other’s back. Everyone is always willing to help each other. Together we work through REVIT challenges, codes, and complicated details and assist with field reports. We have team members at varying points in their careers with different areas of expertise, which means there is a wealth of knowledge and unique perspectives to serve as valuable resources whenever the need arises. No matter the question, you will always find an answer or the right person to help. Clients benefit from our collaborative approach because we can think through and troubleshoot design and construction-related details carefully by coordinating and questioning things within our team first.”

“Clients don’t necessarily know this, but they can count on the whole company to support their project. All kinds of cross-collaboration happen in-house to make their project a success. It takes a flexible, modest, and diligent team like ours to accomplish this. We are always looking out for and supporting each other. It is also important to know that we don’t settle for the status quo on an aspect of the architectural process. We continuously explore ways to refine and improve our process, systems, and skills.”
